Not all magnetic products are intended for outdoor use. We recommend 30 mil. magnetic material of at least 24 sq. inches or larger for vehicle usage. Production Time:

Production time begins after: 1) We have received usable artwork. 2) All the order details have been specified or confirmed clearly (i.e., color(s), quantity, etc.). 3) Credit has been established, extended or payment has been received. 4) Ship date is specified and is within an acceptable lead-time. 5) Your proof has been approved. Weekends, holidays and plant shutdowns will extend schedule. We will not be responsible for missed ship dates if the above criteria have not been met. Factory will not be liable for missed event dates. When the customer does not adhere to production schedules, final shipment date(s) will be extended. No liability or penalty shall be incurred for delays beyond our reasonable control (i.e., acts of GOD, acts of war, riots, acts of terrorism, civil disorder, earthquake, fire, flood, government emergency, government actions, labor actions, accidents, energy failure, equipment breakdown or delays of suppliers or carriers, etc.).Proof Options:
- E-Mail or Online Proof – Magna-Tel sends a digital proof on every order as a standard service to our distributors. Production time begins after this proof is approved. First proof is free; $8.00 (19ECP or 19997) for each subsequent e-mail/online proof and art charges will apply. To be used for checking type, artwork and color location or placement as imprint colors will NOT match the finished product. Please allow 2 to 3 working days. Please contact Factory to be set-up to receive online proofs.
- Faxed Proof– $10.00 (19FX1) each, to be used for checking type and artwork only, if illegible please call for a mailed version. Please allow 2 to 3 working days.
- Production Samples– Available on most products. For pricing, please refer to the Additional Charges Schedule on page 103 or call for a quote. Required on magnetic screen-printed orders over $3,000 X and magnetic process color orders over $1,000 X. These will be provided uncut, free of charge and shipped via overnight service. Please allow 2 to 4 working days on all Production Samples. Production Samples are produced under optimum printing conditions and actual product may vary slightly. Production time after a Production Sample will begin upon receipt of your written approval "as is". All are sent via overnight shipping unless otherwise specified and shipping charges will be invoiced. Any Distributor changes to Production Sample requests will be invoiced at $75.00 per hour (19SQA). Production Samples requiring Factory color mixes will require a charge of $42.00 (19022) per color (fluorescent and metallic colors are not available on process color or on outdoor products), in addition to other applicable charges such as art. When Factory manufactures your order per the approved Production Sample, we will not be held liable and discounts will not be given.
Product Variation:
Due to measures beyond our control, color variation among products, photo illustrations and actual products may exist. Factory reserves the right, without prior notice, to make changes to appearance and color availability of any product. Changes made will not affect the quality of product.Prorating:

Upon receipt of an order, should it be evident that the conditions of the order vary in any way from that which was originally described and/ or quoted, the original quotation will be voided and a new quotation will be issued.Repeat Orders:
Please identify repeat orders on your purchase order and provide the Factory with a previous purchase order number, Factory order number, date, and an invoice number. Include a photocopy of the previous art/product for verification. Art is retained on file by the Factory for two (2) years. Factory will not be responsible for duplication of order(s) if not clearly marked on the purchase order. Repeat orders are not guaranteed to be exact due to possible technological updates in art and changes in the manufacturing process. Factory will not be responsible for ensuring that repeat orders match previous order if you do not specify that the order is a repeat and provide Factory order number or previous purchase order number that is no older than two (2) years.Returns & Limited Liability
Please notify Factory prior to returning merchandise. Adjustments will not be authorized after 30 days. Factory’s maximum liability is limited to a refund or replacement of the merchandise (at Factory’s discretion). Note: Surface imprinting durability cannot be guaranteed and is not permanent. Disclaimer of Liability: Factory disclaims any and all warranties whether expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. The Magna-Tel® Line supports the Sm@rt Codes Program to improve artwork readiness. We accept and encourage artwork prepared to meet these standards. For more information on Sm@rt Codes, please visit www.smart-artwork.org.Accepted Software Programs:
Preferred: Adobe Illustrator® - Save files in AI, EPS, or PDF format with all text turned to outlines. Artwork created in any other program will be imported into Illustrator®. Please prepare your files accordingly.Also accepted: Photoshop® - Save files in TIFF, PSD or EPS formats, 300 dpi or
higher.
Note: If the text contained in an art file requires editing, the actual font must
be submitted with the art file.

General Guidelines
- Minimum Type Size: 6 pt. - Avoid using fine serif fonts.
- Minimum Line Thickness: .5 pt., 1.5 pt. on reverse copy or art.
- Where imprint colors meet, a minimum of 1 pt. of overlap is required.
- Borders/Margins/Bleeds: A 1/8” margin is required from the edge of the item on most products. Magnetic Signs, Corrugated Fans and Corrugated Signs require a minimum of 1/4” margin. Bleeds also require a 1/8” margin past the die cut edge of the product.
Spot Color Printing Specifications:
- We REQUIRE electronic artwork to be supplied on disk or e-mail to meet Factory specifications unless otherwise specified on product page.
- If usable electronic artwork is not supplied, art charges may apply.
- Screen Tints should have a 30% minimum to 70% maximum tint utilizing 85 line screen at 100% print size.
- Text cannot print as a screen. Solid text should not be printed over a screen of the same color. White text is not legible with a screened area behind it.
- Screen tints are not possible using metallic inks.
- Screen Tints are not guaranteed by the Factory - we suggest you order a process color product if screen tints are required.
- Art with screens must be supplied on computer disk or e-mail.
- We can resize artwork to fit the desired layout/shape if requested/authorized to do so. Art charges may apply.
- Gradient Screens, Halftones and Placed Images are not available.
- When overprinting one (1) color on top of another, appearance of the colors will change.
Process Color Printing Specifications:
- We REQUIRE electronic artwork to be supplied on disk or e-mail to meet Factory specifications.
- If usable electronic artwork is not supplied, art charges may apply.
- All colors, type and images submitted for process color orders must be in (CMYK) mode. If not, a production sample will be required. $37.50 (19917) or $45.00 (21600).
- We cannot guarantee exact PMS* color matches, but we will match as closely as possible. Exact color artwork proof or color printed sample is required to produce a process color order. If not provided, Factory will not be liable for matching to unknown color expectations.
- A production sample is required on all process color orders over $1,000 X. These will be provided uncut, free of charge and shipped via overnight service.
- A production sample $37.50 (19917) or $45.00 (21600) will be required on all process color orders when an exact color artwork proof or a previously printed sample is not provided with the order.
- Screen Tints and Halftones are available.
- Placed images/art will be digitally printed as-is.
Art Charges:
- See product page and the Additional Charges Schedule on page 103 to determine if specific art charges apply. If not noted, $75.00 C (19SQA) per hour art charge will apply.
- When Factory is directed to use artwork ”as is”, we WILL NOT be responsible for any ”clean up” or ”rework” and a signed waiver will be required. Factory reserves the right to accept or reject submitted artwork.
- Stock graphics for all products are on the applicable product page. Additional stock graphics are available at magna-tel.com by going to the artwork tab and selecting stock graphics.
- Please refer to pages 103-105 for General Information regarding art charges and availability of Proofs and Production Samples.
- There is no charge for typesetting 10 lines or less on products as noted; however, an art charge will apply to any product requiring additional typesetting.
- Artwork, type, tapes, disks, dies, sketches, prep-work and any other items supplied by us shall remain our exclusive property, unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
Electronic Artwork Requirements:
Accepted Media Storage: Macintosh formatted CD-ROM, Zip 100 and 250, and e-mail (file size permitting).Sending your Artwork: art@magna-tel.net
- All files should be compressed using Stuffit or WinZip (to protect files from corruption).
- When e-mailing revised artwork, please mark it as REVISED.
- The subject line of e-mail MUST include your distributor company name and the purchase order number associated with the artwork.
- The body of e-mail MUST include the number of files attached, file name(s), file description(s), product number/description and number of imprint colors. The print method (spot color or process color) should also be indicated. Please include your company name and contact information at the end of your e-mail.
- The purchase order must include a copy of the e-mailed artwork and show color separations and layout. Factory will not be liable when conflicts occur during transmission that change the artwork. Please indicate artwork was sent via e-mail.
- An automatic reply will be sent upon receipt of your e-mail. This reply does NOT mean that your artwork is usable. If you do not receive an automatic reply, we did not receive your e-mailed artwork. Factory will notify you by return e-mail if there are any problems associated with your submitted artwork.
Mailing Your artwork:
Please send the following information with your disk:
- Company name, purchase order number and contact information.
- Include a printed copy of the artwork and any special instructions.
- Color Separations and Composite Laser Proofs are required. This confirms what is included on the disk and ensures that all files print correctly.
- Include the directory/electronic file sheet showing the file(s) on the disk (all files used in creating your document MUST be included).
Web Submission of Your Artwork:
Send artwork files directly to the Factory (avoid e-mail size limits and other problems) using the Magna-Tel website magna-tel.com. Please contact Factory for set-up.
Art Appearance:
Factory is not responsible for detecting errors in customer supplied art/copy. Factory assumes no liability for how the art or imprint "appears" on a product unless a production sample has been requested and approved.Art Compliance:
Factory assumes no liability for trademark and copyright infringements on customer supplied artwork. Material submitted is assumed to be in compliance with all applicable laws. Distributor agrees to hold harmless and defend the Factory against all costs and expenses as a result of any legal action including reasonable attorney fees.Shipping Instructions:
We will supply one packing slip per order and can use customer supplied packing slip as provided at no charge.Shipment Tracking:
Online tracking of your shipment is available beginning the day after order shipment occurs. Log onto www.ups.com and click on the Tracking tab. From there, click on the Track by Reference Number selection. Enter your purchase order number, destination zip code and the destination country into the respective fields. Check the Terms and Conditions box, then click on TRACK to locate your shipment.Split Destination Shipping Dates:
Shipments going to more than one location will be charged $12.75 (19907) per destination and/or ship date, change of address or via with less than 48 hours notice. Split billing is not available.Shipping Information:
- If no shipping address is placed on the P.O., the distributor's shipping address will be used.
- Please specify your preferred shipment method on your purchase order; otherwise, Factory will ship UPS ground.
- Customer is responsible for all freight charges including all change charges and other fees. Factory will not be held responsible for freight estimates.
- Factory is not responsible for delayed or lost shipments, but will assist in tracking your shipment as a courtesy.
- Third Party Billings are $5.00 (19994). Any charges refused by or unable to bill to the account number will be invoiced to distributor.
- Requests to ship by U.S. Postal Service or to a P.O. Box will incur a $10.00 (21704) service charge, plus postage and insurance. We will not ship by U.S. Postal Service to Puerto Rico. Factory will not be responsible for lost or damaged products or for the tracking of products shipped by U.S. Postal Service. Any claims concerning lost, delayed or damaged merchandise must be made directly to the carrier.
- Please provide Factory with complete shipping instructions a minimum of 48 hours in advance of the scheduled ship date; otherwise, $12.75 (19907) will apply.

Step 3: Go to www.ups.com, click on shipping, calculate time and cost.
IMPORTANT - You must calculate the shipment rate per carton, not by total weight of the order!
